Dancer-Vlogger Tessa Brooks Departs Jake Paul’s Team 10 Squad

Yet another digital star has announced her departure from Jake Paul’s Team 10 vlogger cohort.

Dancer Tessa Brooks, 18, who was perhaps the most popular female member of the squad, cagily announced her departure in a recent video entitled I Have Something To Tell You… “I am no longer in Team 10,” said Brooks, who counts 3.1 million subscribers on her personal channel. “I will definitely explain more in a later video, but for now it’s New Year’s — it’s New Year’s Eve — and I don’t want to get into all that.”

Fans originally suspected that Brooks had departed Team 10 back in October, when the group moved into a brand new $6.9 million mansion and she opted not to join them — though, at the time, she reiterated that she was still part of the company. Brooks’ departure announcement arrives at a tenuous time for the Paul brothers, who had a massive year on YouTube in 2017. Jake’s brother, Logan, is in the throes of a separate controversy for a vlog exploiting suicide.

Brooks isn’t the only high-profile departure from Team 10 in recent months. Identical twin vloggers Emilio and Ivan Martinez — better known to their 4.2 million subscribers as The Martinez Twins — departed the group due to bullying in November, prompting an apology from Jake Paul in which he vowed to be a better leader and friend.
