AwesomenessTV‘s tween- and teen-friendly brand of entertainment now includes several original programs on Facebook. The media company has contributed one show to the new Facebook Watch platform, and two more will premiere in the coming days.
The first piece of AwesomenessTV content within the Facebook Watch lineup was Give Good Text, a series hosted by YouTube star Rebecca Black. In its episodes, which arrived on Facebook between November and December, Black and her fellow creators decoded text messages in order to advise people on how to best respond to their potential paramours.
Much of AwesomenessTV’s content is driven by influencers, and its Facebook Watch shows are no exception. Blend In, a cooking show that premiered on December 15, featured notable YouTube duo DamonAndJo in its first episode.
The third and final program included in AwesomenessTV’s Facebook push is Pop Experiment, which arrives on December 16. Its host, Olivia Pavco-Giaccia, is a recent Yale grad who will use science to explain pop culture.
“Facebook Watch makes sense for us. Our audience is on the platform and they are constantly looking for new content,” said Sherry Liu, VP of Business Development and Strategy at Awesomeness, in a press release. “We’re proud to say that our first show on Facebook Watch, Give Good Text, debuted to strong viewership so we’re thrilled to be premiering Pop Experiment and Blend In this month, two shows we know our fans will love.”
AwesomenessTV continues to be active across the internet. Its primary YouTube channel currently counts more than 5.8 million subscribers.
