Reformatted VidCon Europe Will Return To Amsterdam Next March

VidCon Europe is set to return to Amsterdam in 2018 with a newly reformatted event, the organization announced today. And this time, rather than the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, the conference will be held at ijVenues from March 22 to 24.

Next year’s VidCon Europe will commence with an Industry Track lasting three days, comprising keynotes and workshops for business-minded attendees on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Musical.ly, Twitter, and Twitch. Then, on March 24 — the final day of the convention — VidCon will host its first-ever standalone Creator Track for aspiring online video producers, writers, and vloggers. The Creator Track will cover mobile editing, livestreaming strategies, brand deals, how to adapt content across platforms, and more.

“We’re excited to bring back some of the world’s top online video creators to both inspire and to share their secrets of success,” said VidCon CEO Jim Louderback in a statement. “It’s the only independent event in Europe that brings together the entire industry with a dynamic lineup of existing and emerging creators.”

“The online video industry is the number one career choice for Gen Z and young millennials,” adds VidCon’s director of content, Travis Morss. “Our Creator Track is the only place where these aspiring online video creators can help realize their future dreams.”

Confirmed speakers for the 2018 Industry Track include Jumpwire’s Gavin McGarry, Philip Zepelin of NovelConcept, Mark Robertson of Little Monster Media, and Instagram’s Jackson Williams. Tickets are available here, beginning at $175 and $610 for the Creator and Industry Tracks, respectively.

Last month, VidCon announced that its Australian iteration is also set to return for a second gathering in 2018.
