The Young Turks Launches Investigative News Division Dubbed ‘TYT Investigates’

After kicking off a $2 million crowdfunding campaign last December to hire new reporters that it said would work to keep the Trump administration and establishment politicians in check, progressive news organization The Young Turks has launched today a brand new division dubbed TYT Investigates.

TYT Investigates will be dedicated to original reporting on national business and political issues that don’t get covered the way that they should, according to parent company TYT Network. The division will feature no analysis or opinion — as on the network’s other popular channels — but instead focus on exclusive, objective journalism. Original stories will roll out this week on TYT Investigates’ just-launched YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter

pages.

The eight reporters set to staff TYT Investigates — who were hired as a result of the crowdfunding campaign, and who will also contribute to the TYT Politics channel — include: Dylan Ratigan, Ryan Grim, Nomiki Konst, Shaun King, Michael Tracey, Jonathan Larsen, David Sirota, and Naomi LaChance.
