13-Year-Old Musical.ly Megastar Danielle Cohn Launches App Alongside EscapeX

Thirteen-year-old Musical.ly megastar Danielle Cohn has launched her very own app in partnership with EscapeX — a tech startup that develops mobile platforms for traditional celebrities and social influencers.

Cohn, who hails from Florida and currently resides in Los Angeles, is an aspiring singer with more than 8.1 million followers on Musical.ly and 1.3 million followers on Instagram. She regularly appears within Musical.ly’s global leaderboard, and generates roughly 3.5 million daily views on the app. Cohn competes in beauty pageants and released her debut single earlier this year dubbed Marilyn Monroe. She was also nominated in the ‘Choice Muser’ category at this year’s Teen Choice Awards. Her YouTube channel, comprising vlogs and music videos, has amassed 275,000 subscribers, and her latest single is called Hate On The Summer (below).

The eponymous app will enable Cohn to communicate directly with fans. And, in order to celebrate the launch today on both iOS and Android, she’s hosting a contest whereby one lucky user will be hand-picked to travel to Los Angeles and spend the afternoon together at Six Flags. “Now I can start to get to know my fans and build relationships with them right in the app,” Cohn said of the launch.

EscapeX, which was founded by Sephi Shapira in 2015, has also created mobile apps for Marc Anthony and Bob Marley as well as fellow singer-influencers Bart Baker and Alex Aiono. The company’s platforms enable creators to monetize via ecommerce and in-app ads, and also comprises a loyalty program that rewards users for spending more time within its apps.
