Social Star Orion Carloto Leaves Readers In ‘Flux’ With Collection Of Prose And Poetry

Orion Carloto, like many other social star, is about to become a published author, but her entry into the literary world is very different from those of other digital stars. Carloto, a 20-year-old creator with about 478,000 followers on Instagram and 200,000 subscribers on YouTube, has written a collection of prose and poetry titled Flux.

Carloto’s videos, which range from visual poems to late-night musings, often share her poetic mindset with her viewers. She introduced Flux not with a straightforward vlog but through a trailer that describes her work in ambiguous verse. The description for that video explains the forthcoming book as a somber narrative, an ode to change, a nostalgic collection of poetry and prose written from the many states of grief. It takes you through a raw and sorrowful journey of each and every bitter moment of what it feels like to be heart broken. This is an ode to the lovers, the dreamers, and the ones who believed in someone else’s ‘forever.'”

Given that many books that bear the names of popular influencers on their covers are actually authored by ghostwriters, it is refreshing to find a creator who is not only writing her own literary debut but is carefully crafting the words within it. If you’d like to pick up a copy of Carloto’s meditation on love and loss, you can do so by preordering Flux through retailers like Amazon, where a copy will run you $16.99. The book officially comes out on October 24.
