Awesomeness Films announced today that its latest feature will be an adaptation of The New York Times bestselling young adult romance novel To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.
Production for the film, by Awesomeness and Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, is currently underway in Vancouver. To All The Boys follows a young girl whose love life goes from imaginary to out of control when a secret box of love letters she wrote is unexpectedly delivered to all of the boys she’s had crushes on over the years. In order to avoid awkward encounters, she fakes a relationship with one of her classmates — which gradually evolves into a genuine romance.
Based on the book by Jenny Han and adapted for the screen Sofia Alvarez, the film is being directed by Susan Johnson.
To All The Boys will star Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse), Noah Centino (The Fosters), Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Liars), Israel Broussard (The Bling Ring), Viner-turned actor Andrew ‘King Bach’ Bachelor, and Sex And The City star John Corbett. Bachelor will play a sociable high schooler who’s the life of the party, while Corbett will star as the protagonist’s single father.
