Across its network, Defy Media produces about 75 programs for channels like Smosh, ScreenJunkies, and AWEme. Now, two of the most successful offerings in that library — Honest Trailers and Every Blank Ever — are going global. Defy has announced a partnership with Comedy Central International, to distribute new versions of those two shows around the world.
Comedy Central International’s version of Honest Trailers will consist of 25 episodes, while its take on Every Blank Ever will run for ten installments. Platforms that will be utilized as part of this agreement include Comedy Central Play, a service aimed at Spanish-speaking audiences.
Honest Trailers, which lives on ScreenJunkies, is arguably Defy’s top series in terms of critical acclaim. It earned an Emmy nomination in 2016, and continues to roll out new episodes each week. It recently passed 200 installments by poking fun at the Marvel movie Logan.

Every Blank Ever broke new ground for the Smosh channel when it arrived back in 2015. It helped Defy introduce a new Smosh cast, which is taking an expanded role on the channel now that co-founder Anthony Padilla has moved on. The international version is expected to have new cast members of its own.

We’re excited to bring our brand of humor to Comedy Central’s compelling digital platforms.”
Comedy Central International previously connected to the digital video industry by rolling out a slate of original shows earlier this year. One of the creators featured within that programming push is the South African YouTube star Josh Pieters.
