Seven-year-old RTX, a gaming, anime, and internet culture event series founded by digital production powerhouse Rooster Teeth, has announced Twitch as the official livestreaming partner for its next gathering, to be held from July 7 to 9 in Austin, Texas. As a topline sponsor, Twitch will stream the convention’s goings-on — including all mainstage action — at twitch.tv/RoosterTeeth. Additional panels will be streamed on other Twitch channels.
At the same time, Rooster Teeth has announced the first batch of guests slated to appear at the Austin event, including Smosh Games, Mega64, Cow Chop, Kinda Funny, and The Creatures. Additional exhibitors and guests will be announced in coming weeks.
“In its seventh year, RTX continues to be the premiere event for Texas fans of gaming videos and gaming culture,” said Rooster Teeth co-founder and EP Gus Sorola. “As a Texan, I’m especially proud to be able to make gaming and internet culture more accessible and more interactive for fans through RTX and this partnership with Twitch.”

Last year’s RTX saw more than 60,000 attendees, according to Rooster Teeth — up from 600 guests in attendance at its first-ever event back in 2011. The convention features panels, meet-ups, live shows, parties, concerts, screenings, and announcements from the biggest brands in gaming. RTX also hosts international iterations in Sydney and London.
