Creators and networks who operate north of the border will receive a new opportunity to connect with brands, agencies, studios, and other potential partners. The Digital Growth Lab, a company that organizes business conferences, has announced InfluenceThis Canada, an upcoming gathering in Toronto that will bring members of the online video community together with those who may be interested in working with them.
InfluenceThis will take place on May 17th at District 28, an event space in Toronto. The slate includes presentations from top digital media executives, panels on various online video topics, and opportunities for attendees to hold face-to-face meetings.
Representatives from dozens of companies have already confirmed their presence at InfluenceThis. The guest list includes several networks, such as BroadbandTV, Studio71, and Kin Community, that run notable north-of-the-border operations. They will be joined by top Canadian creators, such as Jasmeet Singh of JusReign and Yolanda Gampp of How To Cake It, as well as brands, ad agencies, production studios, distributors, financiers, tech companies, video platforms, and others.

While there will be a notable creative presence at InfluenceThis, the conference is being billed as a business event. That makes it different from Buffer Festival, another gathering that brings the online video community to Toronto each year. “With more and more digital advertising dollars being invested in influencer marketing campaigns, there is a strong need to bring out the key players to address the challenges and opportunities in the Canadian marketplace,” said Mark Greenspan, Founder of InfluenceThis, in a press release.
Tickets for InfluenceThis are currently available. They will cost $499 until May 15th, at which point their price will jump up by $100.
