The Latest Tour Documentary On YouTube Red Will Feature Lindsey Stirling

In gathering a library of original programs that often feature online video stars in featured roles, YouTube Red has welcomed tour documentaries as a significant part of its lineup. Now, the $9.99-per-month service has once again made plans to chronicle a YouTube star’s life on the road. This time, the creator in question is violinist Lindsey Stirling, who will be the subject of the upcoming film Brave Enough

.

Stirling, whose blend of dance moves, violin skills, and creative costumes has allowed her music videos to become viral hits, has played to sold-out shows around the world and has seen big sales on her album releases. Brave Enough will follow the musician as she tours in support of her latest LP, which shares its name with the forthcoming documentary.

Brave Enough is directed by Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, who Variety (which first reported on the upcoming documentary) notes are Emmy winners. Magical Elves will serve as the film’s producer; that studio, known for its work on hits like Top Chef, has involved itself with the online video community before, particularly through Cameron Dallas star vehicle Chasing Cameron.

“Lindsey is a remarkable talent who stayed true to her vision and found her audience on YouTube,” said Susanne Daniels, Global Head of Original Content at YouTube, in a press release. “This documentary celebrates her unique sound and showcases the creative forces behind her music. She faces life’s challenges with an optimistic spirit that her fans love – and one that is truly inspiring. ”

Other tour documentaries that have been distributed through YouTube Red include A Trip To Unicorn Island, which followed Lilly Singh, and The Amazing Tour Is Not On Fire, which chronicled Dan Howell and Phil Lester. Brave Enough will join those entries beginning on May 17th.
