Playlist Live Orlando Sells Out, Will Welcome 13,000 Guests And 500 Creators

The 10th ever Playlist Live convention, kicking off next Friday in Orlando, is set to be the largest gathering in the event’s history with more than 13,000 guests and 500 creators in attendance, the company said.

Attendance this year represents a 2,000% increase over 2011, when the annual three-day online video conference was first launched by AKT Enterprises — an Orlando-based entertainment merchandising company. Playlist also hosts an annual event in Washington, D.C.

In addition to programming tracks for both business-minded attendees and online video fans, the event is introducing for the first time this year an Insight Track, which will comprise sessions and workshops to help smaller creators build their channels. The Insight Track was developed in partnership with DC3 Education, which offers online courses in art, business, and technology. Another track available for emerging creators is Community Unite, which was formed in 2015 by vloggers Kayleigh Kill and Mary Akemon.

While Playlist’s roots lie within YouTube, this year it will host creators from all social platforms, including Alex Wassabi, Catrific, Eleventh Gorgeous, and Hunter March. Vlogger duo Dan Howell and Phil Lester will host a ninety-minute live show to kick off the event on May 5, for which you can purchase tickets right here. Additionally, leading YouNow musician Zach Clayton will launch his Nothin’ But Love summer tour next Friday afternoon at Playlist in celebration of his new EP Kick It With Me, which is available on iTunes right now.

Check out the full roster of creators slated to attend Playlist Live at the World Center Marriott next weekend right here.
