Brooklyn And Bailey’s Debut Music Video Nears 1 Million Views In 24 Hours

Identical twin lifestyle vloggers Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight announced their foray into the music business last month, and now the duo have dropped their very first music video for debut single Dance Like Me.

The clip, like the song, is a celebration of inclusivity, and sees Brooklyn and Bailey — who are daughters of fellow YouTube luminary Mindy McKnight — dancing alongside their high school’s various social sects, including cheerleaders, nerds, hipsters, jocks, and more. It was produced by SelectNext and directed by Nayip Ramos. And the video, like the song, already looks to be something of a hit: it has amassed nearly 1 million views in less than a day.

Dance Like Me was produced by Benny Cassette, who is attached to Kanye West’s GOOD Music record label and who has worked with bold-faced artists like John Legend

, Miguel, and Lily Allen. The song ascended to #11 on the iTunes pop charts upon its launch last March, and a subsequent lyric video released on the girls’ channel (3.8 million subscribers) features clips of their fans showing off their own dance moves.

Brooklyn and Bailey hosted their first-ever YouTube live stream yesterday to celebrate the debut of Dance Like Me. “With this song, we want to share with you all that it doesn’t matter who you are, what you look like, or where you come from,” they said of the video. “You matter, you belong, and dance and music can help break down those walls.”

The girls have two more songs coming down the pike — a love ballad slated for release later this month, as well as an empowering girl anthem. Both were produced by Cassette.
