Live.me is making overtures to the gaming community. The mobile live-streaming platform has launched a feature called Game Broadcast, which lets users record their adventures within mobile games and share them directly to Live.me.
Game Broadcast, which will be introduced widely across Live.me this week, works simply. Upon choosing to begin a stream, users will be asked if they would like to do a typical “mobile live” broadcast or a game stream. Choosing the latter option will let viewers see the streamer’s phone or tablet screen as he or she plays Clash of Clans, Candy Crush, or any other popular mobile title.
Based on its titular combination, Game Broadcast may remind you of Twitch, but Live.me’s new feature most closely resembles Mobcrush, a platform based entirely around the mobile live gaming format. That company recently raised $20 million; now, it has competition.
Live.me says it tested Game Broadcast among a select group of users before bringing it to its community at-large. To get started with your own streams, download Live.me from the App Store or Google Play.
