Hank Green Isn’t Shying Away From Adult Language On New “Holy F**king Science” Channel

The network of educational YouTube channels run by Hank Green and his brother John often have merit within classrooms, and for that reason, the Green brothers tend to keep their language appropriate for all ages. Hank’s latest channel, however, bucks that trend. It’s a video podcast called Holy F**king Science in which adults use whichever words they need to use in order to impress their co-hosts regarding each episode’s scientific topics.

In Green’s new show, “each person tries to amaze the others enough that they will say ‘Holy Fucking Science,’” the Vlogbrothers co-host and VidCon co-founder wrote in a blog post. The goal of the show is not necessarily to curse every five seconds, but rather to set an adult tone that differs from the kid-friendly content Green typically uploads to YouTube. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we have episodes where the only “fuck” is in the title sequence, but it’s more about setting the precedent,” he writes in his introductory blog post .”I just wanted there to be a space where I could get excited about this shit without worrying about getting angry emails from parents. So, we put a curse word right there in the name so no one would be confused.”

Holy F**king Science is not Green’s first podcast. He and his brother also co-host a weekly audio series called Dear Hank & John.
