For Second Straight Year, Vlogbrothers To Sponsor Educational Digital Content

Vlogbrothers hosts Hank and John Green have become notable Internet stars thanks in part to the candid vlogs they have swapped with each other for the past nine years. At the same time, through ventures like VidCon and the DFTBA store, they have served as champions of their fellow creators within the online video world.

Now, for the second year in a row, the Green brothers are finding another way to support the people who make great digital content. They are accepting applications from educationally-minded creators; from that group, they will select a few winners for whom they will provide financial assistance.

The money contributed to the Green brothers’ sponsorship program will come from one-half of the ad revenue generated by the Vlogbrothers YouTube channel, with the other half going to charity. As an introductory note on the sponsorship application explains, the ideal recipient is someone who is working on “an online educational/informational/super awesome project.”

A deadline for applications has not been shared, but last year, the winners were announced during the second week in January. If you think your channel or series fits the criteria the Vlogbrothers have specified, you can throw your name into the ring here.
