John Legend’s ‘All Of Me’ Is The 24th YouTube Video To Hit 1 Billion Views This Year

John Legend has just joined an uber-exclusive club of artists whose music videos have surpassed 1 billion YouTube views. The video for Legend’s heartrending ballad All Of Me, co-starring his real-life wife Chrissy Teigen, is his most-viewed on the platform, and hit 1 billion views on Dec. 22.

In addition, All Of Me has become one of the most covered songs on all of YouTube since its release in 2013, according to the company. In 2016, YouTube said, 24 videos hit 1 billion views, including Justin Bieber’s Sorry, Adele’s Hello, Major Lazer and DJ Snake’s Lean On, Maroon 5’s Sugar, and Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran.

Legend reached the milestone on the heels of the release of his latest single, Love Me Now, from his fifth studio album Darkness And Light

. Legend has won a total of 10 Grammys throughout his career, and also serves as a principle for Get Lifted, a film and TV production company that has executive produced the HBO documentary Southern Rites as well as the Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone-starring feature La La Land.

Legend also helped kickstart the #FreeAmerica campaign to urge changes to the country’s criminal justice system.

Only four music videos in the history of YouTube have surpassed 2 billion lifetime views: Psy’s Gangam Style, which is the most-viewed video on all of the platform thus far with 2.7 billion views and counting, followed by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s See You Again (2.3 billion views), Sorry (2.1 billion views), and Mark Ronson and Bruno MarsUptown Funk (2.1 billion views).
