Tickets On Sale Now For Eighth Annual VidCon U.S., To Be Sponsored By YouTube

VidCon is coming back to Anaheim next summer — and YouTube has signed on as the event’s title sponsor for the seventh time, the companies announced today.

This year’s event has been rebranded VidCon U.S. — given the gathering’s international iterations that are slated to roll out next year. In June, VidCon announced that VidCon Europe would be held from April 7 through 9 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, while VidCon Australia is slated to be held September 9 and 10 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. As for VidCon U.S., the event will return to the Anaheim Convention Center, but will be held over the course of four days — from June 21 to 24 — as opposed to three days as in years past. Tickets are available right now for all three attendance tracks — including Community, Creator, and Industry — while registration for VidCon Europe and VidCon Australia will become available in coming weeks

VidCon says that its eighth-ever gathering in Anaheim will feature an Expo Hall with over 100 booths and experiences, with more stages this year for performances, panels, and keynotes. The event expects to play host to 400 top creators and 30,000 guests — up from 26,000 attendees last year. And YouTube, for its part, will create unique activities for fans, creators, and industry visitors, according to a release.

“It’s wonderful to see VidCon U.S. continue to expand as YouTube creators become an even more influential part of popular culture,” said Danielle Tiedt, YouTube’s CMO, in a statement. “We look forward to partnering with the team at VidCon to gather fans, brands, and industry colleagues from around the world in celebration of this ever-expanding ecosystem.”

Added VidCon’s COO Michael Gardner and EVP Colin Hickey: “VidCon U.S. will be the biggest and best yet, and we are thrilled to once again be partnering with YouTube to help create an extraordinary experience for fans, sponsors, industry professionals, and, of course, the creators, who are the lifeblood of the online entertainment industry.”
