Roker Media, the first-ever self-described Live Streaming Network (LSN) co-founded by Today’s Al Roker, announced today that it has partnered with creative agency and branded entertainment studio SXM to produce ChefShock, a live cooking show set to air exclusively on Twitch.
The daily series will feature celebrity chef Justin Warner, who is perhaps best known as the season 8 winner of Food Network Star. Warner is also the founder of a now-shuttered Brooklyn restaurant called Do Or Dine and the author of The Laws of Cooking: And How to Break Them. The millennial-leaning show will feature Warner prepping different recipes while he interacts with fans in real-time. Viewers can purchase ingredients in advance of the show and then cook with Warner as it airs during dinnertime weekday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PST. ChefShock will provide a meal schedule and will also vend ingredients alongside home delivery partners so viewers can come to the broadcasts prepared.
Roker Media co-founder Ronald C. Pruett, Jr. said in a statement that the company “has tremendous experience in the food category and the Creative category on Twitch just elevates it to an entirely new level.”

ChefShock will live on Twitch Creative — a separate hub from the platform’s primary gaming infrastructure launched last year to highlight more artistically-inclined streamers. “Since the launch of Twitch Creative, where we celebrate the creative process, the art of cooking has become popular among our community,” Twitch’s head of Creative, Bill Moorier, said in a statement. “ChefShock is taking this format to a new level by adding a highly produced cook-with-me layer to the process. By mixing this approach with an interactive audience and celebrity Chef Justin, it adds a new spice to traditional cooking shows.”
ChefShock will officially bow on Oct. 31.
