Chart Toppers
Ryan ToysReview is the most-viewed YouTube channel of July 2016. Young Ryan’s eponymous playtime and toy review channel took a slight 2% hit in its monthly view count, but still clocked in over 585.3 million views in the 31 days of the month. T-Series is next up in second place. India’s self-proclaimed “largest music label and movie studio” was up 18% to top out at nearly 547.9 million views.
Up next in the #3 spot is Doğan Holding’s netd müzik. The other international music conglomerate that’s towards the top of the charts ended the month relatively constant with more than 533.3 million views. WWE is next up in fourth place.World Wrestling Entertainment’s home on YouTube was up 6% to take home over 524.3 million views in the month.
And rounding out the Top 5 is Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations. The family-oriented channel full of videos featuring adults in everyday and wacky scenarios dressed up as superheroes and fairytale characters dipped 4%, but still racked up over 514.5 million views during the month.
Top Gainers
The honor of one of our our Top Gainers this month goes to the Roman Atwood Vlogs.
The incredibly popular family vlogging channel of YouTube prank artist Roman Atwood and his family always does phenomenally in terms of video views, but July was better than the month before thanks to a regularly-scheduled, several-times-a-week supply of uploads peppered with a few breakout hits. “This Is Crazy!! 100 Bath Bombs Experiment!!“, for instance, hit the internet on July 4, 2016 and quickly amassed an eight-figure view count. Add that to the several million views each of Atwood’s vlogs get and the channel saw a 53% month-over-month increase in views, more than 237.6 million views on the month, and the #34 spot on the worldwide chart.
Channel Distribution
The Top 100 Most Viewed YouTube channels this month amassed in aggregate a total of 22,670,470,202 views. Here’s a look at the distribution of those channels broken down by the most-represented YouTube Multi-Channel Networks on the chart:
VEVO:18 channels in the Top 100. Calvin Harris is the network’s highest ranking channel at #7.
Maker Studios: 10 channels in the Top 100, with PewDiePie at #11.
Studio71: 6 channels in the Top 100, with Webs & Tiaras – Toy Monster Compilations at #5.
BroadbandTV: 3 channels in the Top 100, with Fernanfloo at #40.
AIR, BuzzFeed, Movieclips, WMG, XMediaDigital: 2 channels each in the Top 100, with AIR’s Mister Max at #74, BuzzFeed’s BuzzFeed Video at #24, Movieclips’ Movieclips Trailers at #38, WMG’s Fueled By Ramen at #33, and XMediaDigital’s mashamedvedtv at #19.

Great Britain, India: 6 channels each in the Top 100.
