Top 50 Most Viewed U.S. YouTube Channels • Week Of 8/19/2016

It’s another installment of the weekly Tubefilter Chart of the Top 50 Most Viewed U.S. YouTube Channels and and an old familiar family-friendly channel is in the top spot.

Chart Toppers

Toy Freaks couldn’t maintain the #1 spot on the chart for a fourth week in a row. The exaggerated version of a family vlog dipped 48% in its weekly view count to bottom out in third place with a still impressive 104.8 million views. That gave Ryan ToysReview an opportunity climb back up to the top of the charts. Four-year-old Ryan’s channel full of playtime videos jumped up 8% to end the week with nearly 123.1 million views.

In a distantish second place is WWE. World Wrestling Entertainment’s YouTube destination took home more than 108.5 million views during the week. In the #4 spot is FamilyFunPack. America’s most favorite family of seven closed out the week with just about 98.5 million views.

And rounding out the Top 5 is Justin Bieber. The international pop star’s weekly view count dipped down 3% to end the week with almost 91.2 million views.

Top Gainers

The honor of one of our Top Gainers this week goes to the Rclbeauty101.

Rachel Levin’s popular YouTube channel full of sketches, skits, beauty tips, style updates, and how-tos always racks up a lot of views, but this week was better than most thanks to a weekly-or-so supply of very popular uploads. “Disney Princess Go Back to School” was uploaded on August 5, while “Back to School Relationships” dropped on August 11. Both were very popular with viewers, each reaching an eight-figure view count and helping Levin’s channel to a 56% week-over-week increase in views, more than 42.3 million views on the week, and the #26 spot on the U.S. chart.

Channel Distribution

The top 50 most viewed U.S. YouTube channels this week amassed a total of 2,570,219,850 views. Here’s the distribution of a few of those channels by multi-channel network:

VEVO: 17 channels in the U.S. Top 50, with Justin Bieber the highest-ranked channel of the network at #5.
Maker Studios: 4 channels in the Top 50, with Markiplier at #18.
Studio71: 3 channels in the Top 50, with FamilyFunPack at #4.
BuzzFeed, Movieclips, WMG: 2 channels each in the Top 50, with BuzzFeed’s BuzzFeed Videos at #11, Movieclips’ Movieclips Trailers at #29, and WMG’s Fueled By Ramen at #9.
