Earlier this year, YouTube launched the latest iteration of its NextUp initiative, which bestows funding, training, and mentoring upon promising creators. And now, the platform has announced the creators who have clinched a coveted spot at two summer camp sessions being hosted later this month at YouTube Space NY and YouTube Space LA.
At the weeklong camp, winners will team with production experts to hone their camera work, lighting, and sound techniques. They will also receive audience development coaching from the YouTube Partnerships team, and get to meet previous NextUp winners. Other prizes include a $2,500 production equipment voucher, strategy consultations from a YouTube Partner Manager, and invitations to exclusive events.

Initially conceived in 2011, this year’s NextUp program will aim to recognize 360 total winners in every city across the globe. YouTube says it has hosted seven NextUp programs across seven countries this year. The first round of 51 winners in the U.S. and the U.K. was announced back in April.
