Viner Thomas Sanders To Kick Off ‘Ultimate Storytime’ Tour, Culminating At Playlist Live

Vine star Thomas Sanders, who counts nearly 8 million followers on the micro video platform and 6.5 billion loops, is taking his singular sense of humor on the road. This summer, Sanders will kick off his first live tour, a musical comedy dubbed Ultimate Storytime — referring to a series on Sanders’ Vine account where he approaches strangers and narrates, out loud, what they’re doing.

The 17-city North American tour kicks off on August 12 in Tampa, Fla. and concludes on September 2 in Washington, D.C., coinciding with Playlist Live. Ultimate Storytime is being produced by Playlist Live — the organization behind the large-scale east coast YouTube conventions — as well as Sanders’ management company, Reboot the People. Tickets are available here.

Ultimate Storytime will “navigate through what it is to write your own narrative,” according to a release, featuring characters Thomas has created on social media, serving to remind audiences “that they can do and be anything.” Directed by Jacob Fjeldheim, the show will also feature regular Sanders collaborators Nicole Visco, Jay Harper, Terrence Williams Jr., and Melina Kay.

Sanders, who won Viner of the Year at the Shorty Awards in 2015, is renowned for his prowess in both music and comedy, and had something of a viral hit earlier this year, when he and fellow musician Jon Cozart teamed up for a song about the respective merits of YouTube and Vine.
