Description: How better to combat hump day than with a little exercise? If you’re looking to get jacked during the middle of the work week — or if you’re just a fan of funny and inspirational short videos — Zach Anner is the man for you. Anner, a comedian from Austin, has released several video projects over the years, but his best-known creation is Workout Wednesday, which he is currently funding with a little help from his Patreon patrons.

In each episode of Workout Wednesday, Anner, who has cerebral palsy, takes up an athletic pursuit and conquers it in spite of his physical condition. Anner, who cracks jokes one right after the other, is a big presence on the screen, and Workout Wednesday is at once both self-deprecating and uplifting. Here the latest episode, in which Anner fields some shots as a soccer goalkeeper:

Creator Bio: Anner first gained widespread recognition when he submitted to Oprah Winfrey’s Search for the Next TV Star competition. Beyond his videos, he has also written a book called If At Birth You Don’t Succeed.

Best Perk: Backers who pitch in at least ten dollars will receive an inspirational tweet written by Anner. “I’ll follow you on Twitter and hand craft one hundred and forty characters of sage guidance tailored to your life and goals,” Anner writes on his Patreon page.

Why You Should Fund It: It’s hard to think of someone who more deserves the online video community’s support than Zach Anner. For him to succeed while burdened by his condition, he has had to approach his videos with strength, resolve, and perseverance. Even if we put Anner’s inspirational story aside, he’s still a very funny comedian with a knack for witty language and impeccable timing. Give him a little love on Patreon, and you’ll find your Wednesdays filled with all the encouragement you’ll ever need.
