After putting together dozens of shows in the United States, DigiTour Media is bringing its social media-powered acts to Latin America. The event producer has announced The Wave, its first tour in Central and South America, with Vine star Nash Grier serving as the primary headliner.
The Wave will begin May 11th in Santiago, Chile and will run through a May 22nd show in Monterrey, Mexico. Between those two dates, Grier and his fellow social media stars will make stops in Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Mexico; a note in a press release from DigiTour states that additional shows will be announced later on.
“We’re so happy to bring fans in South America and Mexico the social stars they’ve been dying to see,” said Meridith Valiando Rojas, DigiTour’s Co-Founder and CEO, in the release. “As DigiTour continues to grow, we are expanding globally, and this tour is just one of the many ways we’ll be expanding our offerings in 2016.”

Many of DigiTour’s recent North American events have highlighted up-and-coming digital media creators rather than top-level influencers, but for The Wave, it is turning to one of Vine’s biggest stars. Grier, who often draws thousands of fans to his live appearances, is a close ally of DigiTour’s. He struck a multi-year deal with the company in 2015, and later that year, he announced an autobiographical documentary built out of that partnership.
