YouTube Star Ricky Dillon Teams With Keywords Press For A Book Called ‘Follow Me’

Ricky Dillon has added a book to his list of projects. The social media star, whose 2.8 million subscribers make him one of YouTube’s most popular personalities, has announced a memoir called Follow Me, which will be published by Simon & Schuster imprint Keywords Press.

Dillon revealed Follow Me through an elaborate scavenger hunt that took him to multiple countries. At its conclusion, he opened a box in a field to reveal a copy of his book, which he proceeded to discuss at length.

As with many other books authored by YouTube stars (and many of the books published by Keywords Press in particular), Follow Me is a personal memoir, though Dillon has come up with a twist to differentiate his literary effort. In keeping with the abundance of challenge videos on his YouTube channel, Dillon’s book will feature a series of challenges for his readers. Along the way, these challenges will reveal information about his life, which his fans will eagerly eat up.

Follow Me shares its name with an AOL web series about social media stars that premiered in 2014. Dillon’s partner network, Fullscreen, produced that show, and Dillon appeared in one of its episodes, but the shared name appears to be a coincidence.

Ahead of its planned June 7th release date, Follow Me is currently available for preorder on a website powered by Keywords Press. Dillon plans to hit the road to promote his book, and when he does, it will be his second tour of the year; in February, he will set out alongside fellow YouTube star Trevor Moran on a musical tour that will support his new album, G O L D. Clearly, for the 23-year old vlogger, 2016 will be a busy time.
