Some well-known SourceFed team members have branched out from the news network to create their own channel. Bree Essrig, Matt Lieberman, and Steve Zaragoza launched the sketch comedy YouTube channel Nuclear Family on January 6, 2015.
Created in conjunction with Discovery Digital Networks, Nuclear Family will host parodies, humor segments, and musical comedy about recent pop culture, political, and cultural news. Segments will also include special guests like Allison Raskin and Gaby Dunn of the Just Between Us web series. All Nuclear Family content will live exclusively on YouTube for three days before moving to other platforms. The first sketch on Nuclear Family, a spoof video dubbed “People Try Heroin for the First Time,” features Essrig, Lieberman, Jeremy Azevedo, and Jessica Amal as two couples trying out the schedule 1 drug (but not for real).
“I feel like Nuclear Family will be something you’ve never really seen before on YouTube,” said Zaragoza in a release. “The people behind this channel are all big fans of classic and indie sketch comedy shows and beyond. There’s a lot of that blood flowing through its veins.”
“We’re so excited to finally be launching our new sketch channel, Nuclear Family!” added Essrig. “Our dynamite crew and cast have been working their super-tight, super-toned tushies off for months now, and I can’t wait for everyone to know how weird and messed-up we all really are! Welcome to the family.”
You can catch new Nuclear Family content every Saturday by subscribing to the brand’s official YouTube channel. You can also follow Nuclear Family on Twitter.
