This Year’s SMWLA Social 25 Honorees Include Bethany Mota, King Bach

Social Media Week Los Angeles (SMWLA) boasts a variety of speakers, industry experts, and well-known brands throughout the event. But some of these influencers stand out from the rest because of their global impact via social media. Tubefilter and What’s Trending are honoring these impressive movers and shakers in the fourth annual Social 25 list.

The Social 25 list was curated by Tubefilter’s Drew Baldwin and What’s Trending’s Shira Lazar. This year’s honorees include several well-known digital figures, such as vlogger Bethany Mota, Vine stars King Bach, Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier, and YouTube fitness expert Cassey Ho (of Blogilates). Several honorees are representing digital brands in this year’s Social 25 list as well, such as Ze Frank of BuzzFeed Motion Pictures and Stephanie Horbaczewski of StyleHaul.

These digital honorees join other influencers like actress Sofia Vergara (who just inked a deal with Fusion and Snapchat for a reality web series), comedienne Amy Schumer, Yael Cohen and Julie Greenbaum of Fuck Cancer, and Mark Cuban and Ryan Ozonian, who are being recognized for their self-destructing messages app Cyber Dust. All Social 25 honorees will attend a VIP opening-night celebration, sponsored by Famebit

, in Santa Monica on June 8.

“We’re so excited to continue this annual tradition” said Lazar in a release. “Los Angeles continues to grow as a hub for a new class of Hollywood including social stars and tech leaders.”

“Once again, it was important to pick a scope of individuals and organizations across entertainment, social action, non-profit, gaming, and more, whose work is creating impact locally but extends globally through social platforms,” added Baldwin.

The Social 25 honorees for 2015 join influencers who made it onto SMWLA’s list the last few years. Previous traditional and digital celebrities and companies on the Social 25 list included Jimmy Kimmel, Hannah Hart, Stan Lee, The Fine Bros., Grace Helbig, Ryan Seacrest, MiTu, Endemol Beyond, Snapchat, and Digitour.

You can view a full list of the Social 25 honorees on the SMWLA website. And if you don’t already have your ticket to the five-day event, you can purchase it here and then start planning your agenda by checking out the SMWLA schedule here.
