Hulu Renews Paranormal Comedy ‘Deadbeat’ For Third Season

Hulu has given the green light for another season of one of its original series. The streaming video platform renewed the paranormal comedy Deadbeat, starring Tyler Labine, for a third season.

Deadbeat centers around the laid-back, pot-smoking Kevin (Labine), who has the ability to commune with ghosts and spirits. Unlike most supernatural-themed series, Deadbeat doesn’t throw Kevin into an eternal battle with the other-worldly beings. Instead, Labine’s character serves as a medium who helps ghosts finish what they couldn’t accomplish in life, like getting laid.

Deadbeat is a uniquely imaginative and charming series,” said Craig Erwich

, Hulu’s Senior Vice President and Head of Content, in a release. “We are very happy to bring it back for another hilarious season and look forward to sharing new ghostly stories.”

Hulu released the first season of Deadbeat back in April 2014, with eight of the ten episodes available exclusively on Hulu Plus. The second season of the original series was released on April 20, 2015, an appropriate date considering its significance in the pot community.

No official premiere date has been announced for season three of Deadbeat as of yet.
