Warner Bros.’s Blue Ribbon Content Studio Hires Four Executives To Lead Production

Blue Ribbon Content (BRC) has announced four new executives who will join its team. The Warner Bros.-owned digital studio, which opened in October 2014, has named Peter Girardi, Zoe Friedman, Lance Sloane, and Alexandra Davis to leadership positions within BRC’s creative and production departments.

Girardi has been appointed Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs at BRC. The executive will oversee all programming development for BRC’s current and future projects, including the upcoming Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles as well as a new Mortal Kombat web series. He will also keep his current position as Warner Bros. Animation’s SVP of Creative Affairs.

As BRC’s new SVP of Development, Friedman comes to Warner Bros.’s digital studio with over 12 years of development and production experience at Comedy Central and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. Friedman will be responsible for growing BRC’s comedy and experimental programming, recruiting new creative talent, and establishing relationships with production partners.

Sloane, who will serve as BRC’s new VP of Development and Production, will manage the studio’s overall process of creating programming. He will also handle collaborations with outside production companies as well as with other Warner Bros. properties; he used to work for the company’s Home Entertainment division.

Finally, Davis fills the new Director of Development and Production role. She has previous experience leading AwesomenessTV’s Pop Culture Programming department. At BRC, she will work with Friedman and Sloane to create new programming, focusing on experimental social series. She will also be BRC’s liaison between the studio and Alloy Entertainment’s digital initiatives, as well as BRC’s official representation at public and industry events.

“The appointments and new hires of Peter, Zoe, Lance, and Alex reflect the fast-growing nature of Blue Ribbon Content, with three new series, our first virtual reality experience and more than a dozen new projects currently in development,” said BRC’s head Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, in a release. “This Blue Ribbon Content creative team, with the varied and diverse experience of these highly talented executives in live-action, drama, comedy and animation, is well-placed to continue our mission of expanding and growing our digital series business.”
