Maker Studios has a new name to add to its talent roster. The YouTube multi-channel network has inked a deal with stylist and fashion designer Rachel Zoe to bring her signature ‘70s-inspired style to the online video world.
Maker will work with Zoe Media Group, the digital branch of Zoe’s parent company, to create original content for various platforms and develop the designer’s web presence. The MCN will also work with Zoe and her team to optimize, market, and grow The Zoe Report website and newsletter, which started in 2009 and currently has over 12 million followers across multiple social media platforms.
Zoe is also enlisting Maker to help create content for and expand the stylist’s companion YouTube channel, which currently is in possession of the relatively small sum of 5,700 subscribers. The beauty and lifestyle-focused Zoe Report YouTube channel covers styling advice, behind-the-scenes looks at Zoe’s fashion collection, and beauty product reviews and tips. It also, obviously, has a lot of room to grow.
Zoe will announce her partnership with Maker Studios on April 28, 2015, during the MCN’s presentation at Digital Content Newfronts 2015. The Hollywood Reporter originally broke the Maker-Zoe story.
