CollegeHumor’s Big Breakfast Studio Gets A Late-Night Talk Show On MTV

It’s still not clear whether Jake & Amir will ever end up on TV, but at least one other CollegeHumor project has received a full series order. At its upfront presentation, MTV announced Middle of the Night Show, a late-night talk show from CollegeHumor’s Big Breakfast production company.

A press release from CollegeHumor calls Middle of the Night Show a “fast-paced reimagining of the late-night comedy talk show that brings it out of the studio and onto the streets of New York City.” Host Brian Murphy (a writer and performer who has appeared in some of CollegeHumor’s most popular videos) will interview “unsuspecting” celebrity guests who will be interviewed “on the spot without any preparation and on very little sleep.”

Middle of the Night Show is the first full series order Big Breakfast has received since it launched out of a merger between CollegeHumor and Electus in January 2014. The studio has also received a pilot order from TruTV for a TV version of CollegeHumor’s Adam Ruins Everything web series.
