Phil Ranta Joins Collective Digital Studio As Chief Operating Officer

Collective Digital Studio (CDS) has gained a new executive. The YouTube multi-channel network has named Phil Ranta to the company’s role of Chief Operating Officer.

Ranta’s new duties as COO at CDS will entail leading the network, engineering, and distribution departments as the new executive seeks to implement strategies that develop the MCN as a whole. Ranta will report to CDS’s Chief Executive Officer, Reza Izad.

“Phil has a deep understanding of digital media which makes him an outstanding fit for CDS,” said Michael Green, Chairman of Collective Digital Studio, in the release. “As we continue to grow, he will play a key role helping us build the infrastructure needed to maximize opportunities that best serve channels, brands and creators.”

“The growth of the network along with the caliber of premium content being produced is what attracted me to CDS and it’s a very exciting time to come onboard,” added Ranta.

Ranta comes to CDS from another YouTube multi-channel network, Fullscreen. There, Ranta served as Vice President of Network and helped to grow the company to over five billion global video views per month. Before Fullscreen, the new CDS executive was the Executive Producer at mobile entertainment programming company Viva! Vision.

Collective Digital Studio currently boasts over 900 partner channels and over a billion monthly video views.
