Each weekday, Nerdist provides its viewers with a complement of sci-fi, fantasy, technology, and pop culture stories through Nerdist News, a show it first launched in November 2013. Now, with some help from SyFy, a TV pilot for Nerdist News is in the works.
The cable channel is developing the TV version of Nerdist News alongside Nerdist founder Chris Hardwick and Brandon Monk, the executive producer of Hardwick-hosted Talking Dead on AMC. While the host of the program is still a mystery, it is expected to take on the same subject matter as the web version of the show. It’s worth noting that the TV version of Nerdist News will not replace the existing web series, which will continue to air five times a week on Nerdist’s website and YouTube channel.
