AOL Sets ‘#CandidlyNicole’ Return, Debut Dates For Two New Series

AOL‘s 2015 slate includes more of the platform’s celebrity-driven original series, and three of those series will roll out new episodes during the next month. AOL has announced a February 12th return date for #CandidlyNicole, and it will also debut two new shows, That’s Racist With Mike Epps on January 26th and Inspired, on January 26th and January 28th, respectively.

That’s Racist will follow comedian and actor Epps as he explores the origins of humor driven by racial stereotypes. Its trailer invites viewers to “get ready for some racism,” and from the looks of it, Epps will grill people from various ethnic groups about the stereotypes they must deal with on a daily basis.

The other new series, Inspired, is co-produced by Ron Howard’s New Form Digital studio and asks notable people to tell stories “about the defining moments of their lives and their motivation to keep pushing forward,” according to a press release from AOL. Guests include athletes like skier Bode Miller, and filmmakers like Damien Chazelle, who recently earned an Academy Award nomination for his film Whiplash.

The new episodes of #CandidlyNicole continue the second season of Nicole Richie‘s personal web series. After arriving online in 2013, the show fueled by its star’s unfiltered personality came back for another round last October. The second half of the season constitutes ten episodes, which will be spread out across three separate dates: February 12th, March 12th, and April 2nd.

All three of these shows were discussed during AOL’s presentation at the 2014 Digital Content Newfronts. The platform’s Newfronts slate encompassed a total of 16 original programs.
