In October, New Form Digital–the content studio launched by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Discovery Communications–debuted 14 short films, each one helmed by a different YouTube content creator. At the time, New Form Chief Content Officer Kathleen Grace explained the next step was to “turn these projects into series.”

For two of the shorts, that goal has now been achieved. New Form has struck a deal with Vimeo that will bring four new series to Vimeo On Demand, including one based on Sawyer Hartman‘s “Parallax” and another based on PJ Ligouri (aka KickThePJ)’s “Oscar’s Hotel.”

Parallax and Oscar’s Hotel will both run for ten episodes and will pick up where their respective entries in the incubator series left off. Parallax follows a young scientist as he seeks to warn his colleagues about the end of the world, while Oscar’s Hotel chronicles the adventures of a young man who manages a boarding house for magical creatures. Both shorts can still be viewed on their creators’ respective YouTube channels; Hartman’s has more than 1.7 million subscribers, while Ligouri’s has more than 600,000.

“Vimeo On Demand offers a great platform for our original projects to be showcased as digital series. We’re thrilled that we can bring PJ and Sawyer’s vision and audiences to Vimeo” said Grace in a release. “As New Form Digital continues to develop original, scripted digital content, we see Vimeo as a forward-thinking and innovative partner.”

The two new series will be available for purchase from Vimeo On Demand, though pricing has not yet been determined. New Form will also bring two more series to the pay-to-view platform, though the studio hasn’t shared any details about those projects. These series will join the other offerings on Vimeo On Demand, including High Maintenance and Wedlock.

New Form’s incubator project was devised as a way to bring bright YouTubers to new platforms, and if the Vimeo deal is any indication, the studio’s plan is working. Hartman and Ligouri’s respective web series will debut sometime in 2015.
