Amazon Studios is ready to show audiences its new slate of potential TV projects. The entertainment production arm of the ecommerce giant announced it will debut its first pilot season of the new year on January 15, 2015.
Studios will release 13 unique pilots across the genres of comedy, drama, documentary, and children’s programming. Seven of the pilots were announced in November 2014, including an alternate history piece in which slavery is once again legal in 1962 America dubbed The Man in the High Castle from executive producer Ridley Scott and the yoga-themed comedy Down Dog starring How I Met Your Mother’s Lyndsy Fonseca. The remaining six new pilots are all for kids.
Amazon Prime members in the U.S., UK, and Germany will be able to watch the pilots on Amazon Instant Video and submit feedback on which shows they’d like to see turned into full seasons. “We are working with great storytellers on some fascinating ideas for the year’s first pilot season,” said Roy Price, Vice President of Amazon Studios, in the release. “We look forward to seeing our customers’ response to these new projects.”

Prime users can access the pilots on any device which has the Amazon Instant Video app installed, including the Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick, Roku, Xbox, Playstation, and more. Alternatively, users can tune in on their computers by visiting Amazon.com/AIV.
