Here Are 2014’s Top 14 Dance Videos According To DanceOn Network

It’s that time of the year. Everyone is starting to publish their “best 2014” lists and the YouTube multi-channel network that likes to “break it down” is no exception. DanceOn, the obviously dance-themed MCN perhaps best known for its Dance Showdown original series, has compiled a list of the top 14 dance videos from 2014

.

The videos encompass sweet moves from professionally-trained dancers and amateurs alike. Taylor Swift earned a spot at #10 on the list for her “Shake It Off” routine, and a little boy named Charlie placed #12 by easily giving Patrick Swayze a run for his money. Ellen DeGeneres (who just launched her own video hub this year) recreated in her usual farcical style Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” earning the comedienne a #2 spot on the list. However, Sia beat out all other dance videos for “Chandelier,” which was actually performed by 11-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler.

Here’s the complete list of DanceOn’s top 14 dance videos from 2014:

DanceOn’s list pulls from years of dance entertainment experience on the network’s part. DanceOn was co-founded in 2011 by Madonna, Machinima’s Allen DeBevoise, Guy Oseary, and the network’s current CEO Amanda Taylor. DanceOn’s YouTube channel was part of the YouTube Original Channels Initiative, and in 2013 the network scored a $4 million investment from AMC Networks. More recently, DanceOn partnered with Relativity Media to hold a dance contest based on the film studio’s musician-centered Beyond the Lights movie.

DanceOn currently boasts almost 370,000 subscribers on its YouTube channel and more than 260 million views.
