Social Media Week To Return To Los Angeles On September 22nd

For the fifth year in a row, the City of Angels will play host to a digital media symposium when Social Media Week Los Angeles (SMWLA) returns to town. As in previous years, the week-long event will feature dozens of keynotes, panels, and workshops that hope to inspire and educate attendees about the best ways to harness the power of social media.

This year, SMWLA will run between September 22nd and September 26th at various locations across the city, but with a focus at the shiny new SMWLA headquarters The Broad Stage Theater in Santa Monica. A few of the notable presentations on tap include a panel with HelloGiggles co-founder Sophia Rossi, an “Innovation Expo” hosted by M&C Saatchi, a conversation with Tim Hwang of Imgur

, and a discussion with Nancy Frates, whose son Pete recently turned the ALS ice bucket challenge into a social media phenomenon. Plus, there’s more high-profile presentations and speakers to be announced in the coming days.

If you’re interested in attending those events or any others, you can pick up a pass from the SMWLA website. Early Bird deals will be on sale through September 5th, but tickets will remain available for online purchase until the SMWLA begins on September 22nd. In the mean time, stay tuned for more SMWLA-related coverage as the event draws near.
