Upright Citizen Brigade YouTube Channel Joins Above Average Network

Above Average is expanding its YouTube network through one of the US’ most prolific sketch company groups. The online video arm of Saturday Night Live producer Broadway Video has partnered with UCB Comedy, the digital division of Upright Citizens Brigade.

UCB Comedy showcases sketches, live shows, and web series starring the members of Upright Citizens Brigade comedy troupes. The deal will extend the channel’s relationship with Above Average, which already sources a sizable portion of its content from UCB talent. Several UCB Comedy players have also jumped to SNL. The channel housed Sasheer Zamata‘s Pursuit of Sexiness web series, and Kate McKinnon co-stars in one of the channel’s all-time most popular videos.

While Above Average keeps up a regular release schedule on its main channel, it has also added a number of popular YouTube channels to its network. “We are thrilled that UCB Comedy is now part of the Above Average network,” said Jen Danielson, Head of Content at Above Average. “We’ve always admired their work and talent, and we can’t wait for them to join the ranks of other Above Average network partners—from The Lonely Island and Tripp & Tyler to The Bilderbergers and BriTANicK—that help bring our unique brand of comedy to the web.”

Taken as a whole, Above Average’s 50 partner channels combine for nearly seven million subscribers.
