I Have No Idea How MagicOfRahat Pulled Off This Water Walk Prank

At the end of the year, I wrote that prank videos in 2014 would ultimately require more authenticity, and specifically noted that actual magicians, such as MagicOfRahat, would be more likely to shine. Rahat’s first prank of the new year doesn’t disappoint; it’s an ingenious water-walking treat for his 2.8 million subscribers, and I’m still trying to figure out how he did it.

The YouTube creator best known for his hilarious series of invisible driver pranks has started off 2014 by walking on water. I know he doesn’t actually walk on water, but I’m so confused as to his actual methods that I’m just going to assume he is Jesus until someone tells me otherwise. Commenters have suggested that there’s a clear platform under his feet (possibly controlled by his phone?), but he’s certainly not going to tell us if that’s the case.

So there you have it: Stuart Edge can do as many cheeky New Year’s kissing pranks as he wants, and marketers are welcome to send devil babies screaming through the streets of New York City, but Rahat is the YouTube prank master. His latest video only reinforces that point.

And seriously, if you have any idea as to how he pulled this one off, please let me know in the comments. I’m entirely stumped.
