Where To Watch The New Year’s Eve Ball Drop Live Online

For all the cordcutters on the internet, who want to to ring in 2014 by watching the Ball Drop in New York City’s Time Square, but have spurned broadcast television networks and don’t have access to the ABC.com simulcast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest (which, if you don’t live on the East Coast, is tape delayed anyway), there’s a live stream for you.

Times Squarethe official organization in control of one of the earth’s most well-known centers of tall buildings, inspiring bright lights, and commerce, has partnered with Live Stream to “give revelers around the world a front-row seat to the world-famous Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop.” Here’s a look:

Viewers will be able to catch a mix of acts and interviews from the multiple events ongoing throughout the evening in Times Square, including live performances

by Miley Cyrus, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Blondie, Icona Pop, Jencarlos Canela, El Dasa Rodney Atkins, Melissa Etheridge, and more, in addition to a an exclusive trailer of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The only thing missing will be a New York City mayor. U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor will push the button that causes the Waterford Crystal ball to descend and start the final 60-second countdown to 2014, while outgoing Mayor Micahel Bloomberg spends his last few hours in charge of NYC with friends and family, and Mayor-Elect Bill DeBlasio gets sworn into his new position at the stroke of midnight at a private ceremony in his Brooklyn home.
