My Damn Channel Vloggers Get Literate With Answerly Book Club

Ready to join a book club with all your Internet friends? My Damn Channel has you covered. The YouTube network has re-branded its Answerly channel as Answerly Book Club, where vloggers Hayley Hoover, Joseph Birdsong, and Kristina Horner will offer weekly discussions of books they enjoy.

Each of the three hosts will focus on a specific genre. Hoover will discuss female authors each Monday, Birdsong will feature humor books on Wednesday, and Horner will explore the world of YA fiction on Friday. They each discuss their respective focuses in the book club’s trailer.

Answerly previous featured advice videos from Hoover, Birdsong, and Horner on various topics relevant to My Damn Channel’s young audience. Those videos will still be available, but the network’s decision to switch away from advice vlogs (a very well-tread genre on YouTube) and instead inspire young people to pick up mature, complex books is a smart and noble one. The first Answerly Book Club video will arrive on January 6.
