#SMWLA Preview: Michelle Phan Tells All

From September 23-28, online companies, executives, and personalities will gather in Santa Monica for Social Media Week Los Angeles. To help showcase the incredible events that will be going down this year, Tubefilter will be offering daily previews of individual events. Check out the full schedule here and our schedule at a glance here.

With more than 4.7 million followers, Michelle Phan is YouTube’s most subscribed beauty guru; however, she’s more than just a pretty face. Phan is also one of the YouTube community’s savviest entrepreneurs. Beyond her main channel, she also runs Ipsy, a website that provides users with fashion recommendations; Fawn, a network of YouTube-savvy, female-oriented creators; Generation Beauty, a meetup that drew more than 1,200 fans (and dozens of prominent YouTube fashionistas) to LA; and, most recently, Em, her own line of makeup.

At Social Media Week Los Angeles, Phan will talk about her multifaceted career. She will sit down with Entertainment Tonight personality Rocsi Diaz to discuss the ways in which social media has had an incalculable impact on the online beauty and fashion world. I expect Em to be a main topic of discussion, but Phan is an articulate public speaker who will no doubt hit on a variety of topics. No matter what she and Diaz discuss, one thing’s for sure: It’s gonna be so hawt.
