Gilbert Gottfried, Sklar Bros. Headline Massive My Damn Channel Slate

Donnie Hoyle has some company. The depressive image-altering guru’s original web series You Suck at Photoshop was recently resurrected for a third season by My Damn Channel, but the popular program that’s racked up over 40 million views in aggregate and a nod from TIME as a topnotch entertainment property is just one of many online originals to join the new media studio’s new upcoming slate.

On the eve of the launch of My Damn Channel Live a few weeks back, My Damn Channel Founder/CEO Rob Barnett told me to expect more than 30 series to be released by his company in addition to the live one, which is hosted by comedian Beth Hoyt and airs daily at 4PM Eastern, usually with celebrity guests (like David Wain and The Gregory Brothers). Today, Barnett and his team are revealing a good portion of those 30 series, all of which are slated to debut in the first half of 2012 (if they haven’t debuted already).

The series include:

  • Daddy Knows Best: Steve Rannazzisi (The League on FX) stars as a terrible father who can’t stop lying to his wife.
  • The Jon Friedman Internet Program: The world’s fastest comedy series (live-action and animated), from NYC writer/comedian/producer Jon Friedman (Guy Code, The Rejection Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon).
  • Gilbert Gets It: The My Damn Channel LIVE online audience tasks the comedian’s comedian, Gilbert Gottfried, to skewer odd and offbeat topics and Internet trends.

  • Sing-A-Gram: Minimum wage worker, Kim (Mamrie Hart), delivers singing telegrams filled with too much information to unsuspecting clients.
  • Save the Super Force (working title): This live-action comedy documents the hard times of the world’s most famous team of superhumans. On top of battling ruthless super villains, the Super Force deals with office romances, a shrinking budget, and parking tickets on their Invisi-Jet. Created by and starring Sandeep Parikh (The Guild, Legend of Neil), with a revolving door of notable guest appearances including Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog).
  • The Tweekly News: Hosted by comedians Randy and Jason Sklar (Back on Topps), The Tweekly News is a weekly look at all things popular culture through the eyes of Twitter.
  • Workless: A series so insane, we had to launch our first workplace comedy. Created by Brit McAdams (Director of Tosh.0).

The titles above represent half of the expected output of original programming from My Damn Channel this year. They also represent a huge sum of hours of quality entertainment that will keep you satisfied until the other 15 or so original web series are announced in the second part of 2012. Stay tuned.
