And then…the teaser trailer appeared. A creaky door opening, a few drops of blood on the floor, a dead body. Sure, these are things you expect from a zombie-related trailer.
But then there she was, the creepy bloody baby.
Now, there are only two things that can really, really get to me in movies (it doesn’t even have to be horror movies per se): animals getting killed…and scary dead children. So this just blows my mind on multiple levels. Because is this baby actually dead or even worse: IS IT A ZOMBIE BABY!?
The trailer also gives us the first concrete details of who is behind this series. Produced by the husband and wife team of Beau Ryan (The Rad Nerd Show) and Traycee King, King e-mailed me the scoop on the series: “8.13 is about the dawn of the zombie apocalypse seen through 3 different POVs. All 3 groups of people (or POVs) are “connected,” and out and about in different areas of Los Angeles on a seemingly normal night… well, normal for them…”
She added: “There’s more to 8.13 than the date… so you’ll just have to watch and find out what it means!”
It may very well mean more bloody babies. I hope I don’t cry…too much.
