Jackson West from NewTeeVee broke the news today that last Thursday, the creators of Lonelygirl15 inked a deal with Bebo, the UK version of MySpace, to collaborate on a spinoff called KateModern.
The new characters, also teens, will live in the same fictive universe as Lonelygirl15. Only this time the dark cult behind the intrigue will have a British division.
“We’re definitely excited,” says Miles Beckett, one of the phenomenon’s creators about his new project. “As Bree would say, we’re really, really, really, really, really, really excited.”
But that’s not all. Casting hasn’t begun for KateModern and her friends, nor have Beckett and co-creators Mesh Flinders and Greg Goodfried settled on writers and directors for the new series. So if you’re a British ingénue and interested in being the new Jessica Rose, put your pinkest lipstick on your pout and get your resume in order.
