What can content localization do for creators? Here’s a look at the numbers

Savvy creators know content localization is an important strategy to grow global reach and revenue. But just how much can it grow your international audiences and monetization opportunities?

Last month, we wrote about how global monetization startup Linguana partners with YouTubers to make their videos available in dozens of languages. Now, we’re going deeper by looking at actual numbers from one of its creator clients.

For some creators, baked-in platform tools like translated text subtitles or auto-generated dub tracks will do the trick. But Linguana’s partners are the growing creators who want to use tailored content to reach audiences in a multitude of regions.

To serve those creators, Linguana launches and manages entirely new channels for each region. It takes a creator’s original catalog of videos and uses voice replication technology to generate fully localized videos in other languages for each of those channels. The replicated audio in those localized videos sounds just like the creator, and is timed to what’s happening in uploads, so the audiovisual components–and, crucially, all of that meticulous editing–are always in sync.

For its work, Linguana gets a cut of the new revenue from the channels it manages. As for creators, they get to reach global audiences without having to increase in-house production efforts.

And BassFishingProductions says it’s worked out great for him.

Bobby, the creator behind BassFishingProductions, has been making videos on YouTube for over a decade. What started as a channel to show off his love of reeling in the big ones has evolved into a project where he spotlights the weird and wonderful creatures nature has to offer, both in water and on land.

Linguana partnered with Bobby in September 2025 after being recommended by his agency Night, and in the four months since, has launched 14 new localized channels to reach audiences who speak Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, French, Italian, Czech, Romanian, Turkish, Polish, Tagalog, Greek, Japanese, and Korean.

Linguana says that collectively, the new channels have brought over 100 million views and 500,000 subscribers, and have generated “monthly revenue in the tens of thousands of USD.” Both the Spanish and Portuguese channels have already crossed 100,000 subscribers and received their silver Play Buttons.

We also took a closer look at one video as a case study. The original English-language video, I Found Axolotls in a Hidden Tunnel!, went live on BassFishingProductions in March 2025, and has 9 million views.

 

Linguana’s Spanish version of the video went live on his new Spanish-language channel Sept. 2, and has 5.7 million views. The Portuguese version? 2.1 million views. Russian? 1.1 million. French? 583,000. And these channels continue to grow, putting on thousands of new subscribers per month.

Bobby says he chose to partner with Linguana because he realized that by only making his content available in English, “over 80% of the people in the world can’t watch my videos.”

“So far in just a few months, we have 14 different channels […] with the biggest one already having 250,000 subscribers,” he says. “And the best part is Linguana handles everything. That way I can focus on making new content for millions of people around the world to enjoy.”
