Chart Toppers
It’s T-Series. With its music videos, film clips, and assorted pieces of entertainment and culture, the Indian channel stands as the most-watched YouTube channel in the world week after week after week. In our latest count, T-Series received 825.2 million weekly views, which allowed it to hold onto first place in our Global Top 50. In total, the popular hub has picked up more than 182 billion lifetime views on YouTube.
Another Indian channel, SET India, trailed right behind T-Series for the second straight week. The Sony-owned channel, known for its library of TV-style content, got 638.8 million weekly views during the third week of January, which allowed it to retain the #2 spot in our Global Top 50. Among channels in this week’s Global Top 50, SET India is third in terms of lifetime views and lifetime subscribers.
So which channel ranks second in those two measures? That would be Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes. The American channel, famed for content it delivers to young viewers, is undoubtedly the most-watched channel based in the U.S. In our latest chart, Cocomelon ranked third in the world in terms of seven-day viewership, thanks to its 588.6 million weekly views.
This week, if you combine the viewership earned by the top two Sony-owned South Asian YouTube channels, it comes out to over a billion views. Aside from SET India, the other member of that duo is Sony SAB, which is tied to a TV channel known for its comedic shows. During the third week of February, Sony SAB got 426.1 million weekly views, which pushed it up to fourth place in our Global Top 50.
Last week’s fourth-place finisher, Kids Diana Show, rounds out this week’s global top five. Though it slid down one chart position, the U.S.-based family vlog still had a big week, receiving 425.7 million weekly views.

If you ever feel that the content of popular children’s TV shows isn’t to your liking, keep in mind that you can always create your own plotlines.
On the channel Genevieve’s Playhouse – Learning Videos for Kids, that’s exactly what goes on. The titular kid plays with toys from popular franchises like Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig, and together with friends and family, she invents new, wholesome storylines. A video in which Paw Patrol characters get potty trained and learn how to combat bullying in schools has received more than 477 million views, making it one of the most-watched videos on all of YouTube.
Though it’s no stranger to our Global Top 50, Genevieve’s Playhouse surged in the rankings this week. It added 165.3 million weekly views, which pushed it from 47th place in the world up to 38th place. Overall, the U.S.-based channel has claimed more than 15.5 billion lifetime views.
Perhaps this content is so popular because it is so true to the spirit of YouTube. This is kids’ content with a homespun appeal. It’s a reminder that children can be creative and think up their own versions of existing IPs, and even if those stories won’t end up on TV, they’re still valid.
