Attention, Instagram grid artists.
The app appears to be exploring a feature that would enable creators to rearrange the posts on their profile grids in any order, Engadget reports.
The feature was first discovered by self-described app leaker Alessandro Paluzzi. It apparently lives under ‘Profile Information’ section, at the bottom, and can be accessed by tapping ‘Edit Grid’ (see below).

If implemented, it would mark the first time that Instagram has given users the ability to publish grid posts in non-chronological order. In addition to letting creators pin preferred posts to the tops of their profiles, it would also make profile grid artwork more seamless, whereby creators coordinate multiple posts in order to piece together a larger, more impactful visual.
The non-chronological grid option arrives as Instagram is looking to bring back more chronology elsewhere. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said the company will soon let users organize their feeds by chronology rather than the current de facto algorithmic view.
